The kokopellis are hand painted red and blue with an Indian chief wood burned in center embellished with a turquoise gemstone. The top is cut off allowing the sound to resonate from the drum. At the top of the gourd is turquoise in addition to splashes of copper scattered around it.

Above the cardinal is the state of Arizona wood burned and embellished with turquoise in center, in addition to copper splashing on each side.
